Barrix Catch Fruit Fly Trap – Pheromone-Based Monitoring Trap

The Barrix Catch Fruit Fly Trap is a scientifically designed, Design Patent Protected trap developed for effective monitoring and control of Bactrocera dorsalis (commonly known as Fruit Fly), including its 83 sub-species. This pest is a serious pre-harvest threat and cannot be controlled by conventional pesticides.

When used with the Barrix Catch Fruit Fly Lure, the trap attracts and captures fruit flies, reducing crop damage and securing yield. The trap is easy to assemble, install, and maintain, and features a durable container that can hold up to 5,400 dead flies.

How to Use

1. Assemble the Barrix Trap as per product diagram.
2. Hang it 3–5 ft above ground level, ideally under shade, after placing the Barrix Catch Fruit Fly Lure.
3. Ensure lure is firmly fixed to prevent falling due to wind.
4. After 15 days, add 1–2 drops of pesticide (Malathion or DDVP) with an ink filler to reactivate the lure.
5. Replace the lure every 45 days during extended harvest periods.
6. Dispose of used flies and lure by burying them 1 ft below ground or by burning.
7. Can be safely used even during the pre-harvest stage for maximum crop protection.
