Baba Bio Pesticide
Product Description
Beauveria bassiana is a biological insecticide formulated using entomopathogenic fungi that effectively controls various insect pests in organic and conventional farming.
Technical Content
- Beauveria bassiana
- CFU: Min. 1 × 108 CFU/ml (Liquid) or Min. 1 × 108 CFU/gm (Carrier)
Key Benefits
- Ideal for organic farming as a natural bio-insecticide
- Compatible with several adjuvants and biological insecticides (use only compatible ones to avoid reducing effectiveness)
- Effectively controls a broad range of insect pests
Mode of Action
Upon contact with the insect body, Beauveria bassiana spores germinate and the germ tube penetrates the insect's body. Once inside, the fungus multiplies and releases toxic metabolites that stop feeding activity, paralyze, and ultimately kill the insect within 4 to 5 days.
The dead insect becomes hard, and white mold appears on soft tissues — a condition known as White Muscardine Disease.
