Poovarasu (Crocodile Bark Tree)
Poovarasu is a deciduous tree that can reach up to 30 meters in height.
Its bark is 15–20 mm thick, with a distinctive grey-black surface that is very rough,
deeply vertically fissured, and horizontally cracked, forming tessellated thick flakes.
The blaze is a striking red, giving it the common name Crocodile Bark Tree.
