SUN BIO SULPHO BAC (BIO FERTILIZER SULPHUR OXIDIZING BACTERIA)
About SUN BIO SULPHO BAC (Bio Fertilizer – Sulphur Oxidizing Bacteria)
Sun Bio Sulpho-Bac is a bio fertilizer formulated from a selected strain of naturally occurring beneficial bacteria. It converts non-available sulphur and sulphur-related compounds into easily assimilable sulphur salts through oxidation. This process also helps reduce soil alkalinity, improving soil quality and crop performance.
Technical Details
| Technical Name | Sulphur Mobilizing Bacteria (CFU: 2 x 109 Cells/ml) |
| Mode of Action | The bacteria Thiobacillus thiooxidans solubilizes sulphur by converting unavailable sulphur compounds into usable sulphur salts. Upon activation in soil, the cells secrete enzymes like thioredoxins and produce organic acids (sulphuric acid, carbonic acid), which enhance sulphur availability and lower high soil pH. |
Key Features & Benefits
- Improves plant and soil health by enhancing natural sulphur availability.
- Boosts growth, yield, and quality of legumes, oilseeds, garlic, and onion.
- Helps reclaim alkaline and saline soils for normal cultivation.
- Mobilizes unavailable sulphur ions, making them assimilable by plants.
- Increases beneficial microbial population, improving overall soil fertility.
Usage & Recommended Crops
Recommended Crops: Cereals, millets, fruits, vegetables, flowers, sugarcane, plantation, and field crops.
Dosage & Method of Application
- Soil Application (per acre): Mix 1 liter of Sun Bio Sulpho-Bac with 50–100 kg of well-decomposed manure/cake and apply evenly on moist soil.
- Drenching: Mix 10 ml of Sun Bio Sulpho-Bac in 1 liter of water and apply near the root zone.
- Fertigation (per acre): Mix 1–2 liters in sufficient water and apply in the root zone through drip irrigation.
