Sunlight & Watering

• Full sunlight in winter & partial sunlight in summer
• Water daily in summer & every other day in winter, preferably near the soil base or via drip irrigation

Soil & Fertilizer

Add good quality organic manure at a 2:1 ratio before transplanting. Suitable options include well-rotten cow dung, farmyard manure, compost, or vermicompost.

Plant Care

• Monitor for early signs of pests, insects, or fungal infections and treat promptly
• Provide support by tying the main stem to an erect stick for upright growth
• Pinch the apical (top) growing point after two months to encourage side growth and increase production
• Remove diseased leaves and branches immediately

Harvesting

Flowering begins around the end of the 3rd month. Harvest brinjals 70-80 days after sowing. With proper care, the plant can continue producing for up to three years.
