🧑🌾 Agronomy & Cultivation Guide
Soil Requirements:
- Well-drained black or medium loamy clay soil is ideal.
Sowing Guidelines:
- Sowing Time: Follow local/regional schedule
- Optimum Germination Temperature: 25°C – 30°C
- Seed Rate: 80–100 grams per acre
Transplanting:
- Transplant 30–35 days after sowing
- Best done in late afternoon
- Light irrigation post-transplant for better establishment
Spacing:
- Row-to-Row: 75–90 cm
- Plant-to-Plant: 45–60 cm
Main Field Preparation:
- Deep ploughing and harrowing for a fine tilth
- Apply 7–8 tons/acre of well-decomposed FYM (farmyard manure)
- Open ridges and furrows at required spacing
- Irrigate one day before transplanting
